Skiing
There's a small ski lift and two ski runs less than 5 minutes walk from the chalet. Details and photos can be found on the Jesenice town website or on the Slovenia Tourist Office website. If you need to hire ski equipment, the main resorts are only a short drive away.
Kranjska Gora, Vogel, Kobla and Bled ski resorts are each 25-40 minutes by car, where you can
hire skis and take lessons. Skiing in Slovenia is ideally suited
to beginners, with plenty of easy runs and excellent well-renowned ski
schools.
There are plenty
of cross-country ski areas around Bled. Zaternik or Pokljuka
are the most popular, where you can glide through the forests with views
through the trees to the Julian Alps.

Cup is held between Lake Bohinj and Bohinj Bistrica.
Slovenia is also famous for its ski jumping at Planica, where the World Cup is held and Olympic ski jumpers can be seen practicing. Slovenia probably boasts five of Europe's top ten jumpers!
